Girl’s Ice Hockey, Code of Conduct for Players… It is the responsibility of parents, players, and coaches to adhere to all Auburn High School (AHS) athletic rules, policies and guidelines. The following conduct guidelines are in addition to the AHS athletic rules, policies and guidelines and do not take precedent over those codes of conduct. 1. There will be no swearing or abusive language allowed on the ice, in the locker rooms or at any team function. 2. Lashing out at officials is never acceptable in any situation. The coaching staff and Captain(s) will handle all matters pertaining to officiating. 3. If I receive a penalty I will go directly to the penalty box without saying a word. 4. Fighting will not be tolerated and may be subject to further disciplinary action. 5. Drinking alcohol, smoking, chewing tobacco, or use of illegal substances is strictly forbidden. 6. I understand proper line of communications is PLAYER FIRST, then Captaincy, Coach, Athletic Director, Principal and finally the School Superintendent. Any disputes, questions, etc… I have will adhere to this order. 7. I will conduct myself in a befitting manner at all facilities during team functions. This is extremely important when visiting other schools for games. Treat hosting team’s facilities as they were your own. 8. Visiting team members and their spectators are our honored guests, treat them as such. 9. Remember the three “R’s… a. Respect for self. b. Respect for others. c. Respect for the game and all your actions. I understand that players or team officials who cannot abide by these rules or who violates them may be subject to further disciplinary action as dictated by the AHS athletic rules and regulations.
